White House Executive Office team engages ACEDS to deliver onsite electronic discovery training
EAGAN, Minn., Feb. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Executive Office of the President of the United States has joined other leading organizations equipping their teams with critical electronic discovery knowledge through global eDiscovery education and certification provider, the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS), a BARBRI Professional Association.
The Executive Office participants represented a cross-section of accountabilities – information governance, IT, records management, eDiscovery and attorneys. The in-person training session, covering the essentials of electronic discovery and customized to meet the specific needs and roles of attendees, was taught by seasoned eDiscovery educators and practitoners:
Mary Mack, CEDS, CISSP – ACEDS Executive Director, award-winning eDiscovery pioneer and author of A Process of Illumination: The Practical Guide to Electronic Discovery, the very first book on the subject. Mack is also the co-editor of the Thomson Reuters West treatise, eDiscovery for Corporate Counsel. Frequently sought out for comment on industry issues, Mack has spoken at venues including the Gartner Symposium, the American Bar Association International Law Committee, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Shannon Bales – Managing Director at FTI Consulting and award-winning eDiscovery expert, recognized for managing some of the largest and most technically difficult cases in the country and world. Bales is a legal technology instructor at UCLA, and is also the author of The Trial Presentation Companion, published by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) in 2018.
David A. Greetham, CEDS – Vice President of eDiscovery sales and operations at Ricoh USA, Inc., an international computer forensics testifying and consulting expert. Greetham holds multiple eDiscovery technology patents, and is the inventor of Remlox™, a patented forensically sound "remote-collection" tool already deployed in 38 different countries.
Kaylee Walstad, CEDS – ACEDS Vice President of Client Engagement, with a broad background of eDiscovery experience and skill, and extensive expertise in developing cross-organizational discovery strategies for large litigation and investigations.
