White Plains Attorney David A. Menken Joins McCarthy Fingar LLP as New Partner

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., July 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McCarthy Fingar LLP today announced that attorney David A. Menken has joined the firm as a partner.  Menken, who brings to McCarthy Fingar more than 25 years of experience in corporate law and intellectual property, will serve in the firm's Corporate and General Business, Intellectual Property, Commercial Finance and Real Estate Transactions groups.

As a member of McCarthy Fingar's Corporate and General Business and Intellectual Property groups, Menken will serve clients in a number of capacities, including business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, trade secret protection, and various other intellectual property and information technology matters.  Many of Menken's clients are based outside the United States, particularly in India and Western Europe.

Prior to joining McCarthy Fingar, Menken was a partner at the White Plains firm of Menken & Weingarden, pllc, where he represented individuals and organizations in a variety of corporate and commercial areas.  

Menken received his Juris Doctor degree from the New York University School of Law in 1981 and his bachelor's degree from John Hopkins University.  He is a member of the New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations and the Information Technology Law Association.  He serves as chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Bedford, New York and is a member of the Westchester County Planning Board and the Westchester County Charter Revision Commission.
