Whitmarsh Completes Three-Year Term as PPI Board Chair
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- At the conclusion of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute (PPI), Theresa J. Whitmarsh completed her third year as board chair. Whitmarsh is succeeded by Adrian Orr, chief executive officer of the New Zealand Super Fund.
"Theresa was at the start of her term as PPI's board chair when I became PPI's president in 2014, so I have a particular affinity and affection for her and a deep respect for her leadership of PPI. Theresa is regarded as a 'rock star' among her peers, and that stellar reputation is certainly well deserved. PPI is fortunate that Theresa will continue to serve on the board until her board term ends in 2019," said PPI President Lionel C. Johnson.
Whitmarsh also serves as executive director of the Washington State Investment Board and chair of the Council of Institutional Investors. She is a past director of the International Centre for Pension Management, and she serves on the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance Advisory Board and the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on the Future of Investing.
