Wigwam Mills Supports The Outdoors Through Partnership With The Ice Age Trail Alliance
SHEBOYGAN, Wis., Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wigwam Mills is excited to announce an official 5-year sponsorship of the Ice Age Trail Alliance in order to help create, protect and support the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Working together, Wigwam and the Alliance will increase awareness of the need to support land conservancy and sustainable outdoor recreation. This partnership allows Wigwam to provide additional resources and reach for one of the most visited National Scenic Trails in the U.S.
Wigwam is proud to be able to join with the Alliance in acquiring and maintaining wilderness land held in trust for future generations to enjoy.
Youth Outreach Program
The Ice Age Trail Alliance promotes participation in and education of the outdoors through its Saunters program. With the goal to educate and improve the physical and mental well-being of our youth, while improving the communities through which the Trail passes, Saunters aims to honor Henry David Thoreau's statement; "It is a great art to saunter".
Retail Promotion
In order to support the mission of the Ice Age Trail Alliance as a national resource, Wigwam will partner with retailers across the country to raise awareness and donate a portion of promotional sales generated to benefit the Trail's land conservancy and trail maintenance efforts.

Sculpted by retreating glacial ice, The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a 1,000 mile footpath that features an amazingly diverse landscape through the heart of Wisconsin. More than 1 million people use this trail every year as they hike, ski, snowshoe and backpack along the route.
