NEW YORK, Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Independent, family owned distiller William Grant & Sons announced today the appointment of Luis Zubieta as General Manager for William Grant & Sons Mexico, in a move which promises to elevate the company's standing in this important market and lead to the continued success of its portfolio of super premium spirits.

Zubieta comes to William Grant & Sons with an exceptional background and a wealth of relevant experience that will put him in a fantastic position to contribute to the continued success of the company.  Having most recently held the position of General Manager for Red Bull in Mexico, Zubieta has also acted as President & Managing Director for MPG (Media Planning Group, part of HAVAS), as Regional Manager and National Marketing Director for Group Danone, and has held significant roles with major organizations including Blockbuster Video, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble Mexico.
