Williams appointed General Manager and Couget named Director of Sales & Marketing at Sandestin Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn

DESTIN, FL, April 9 /PRNewswire/ - Tobin Williams was appointed General Manager and Ronald Couget was named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin and Residence Inn by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard.

Both Marriott properties are Howard Group developments and are managed by Sandestin Investments LLC, the parent company of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

According to John Russell, president of Sandestin Investments LLC, Williams and Couget bring a great deal of experience and record of results to their new positions. Tobin Williams joins the Sandestin Marriotts from White Lodging Services where he was the Lead General Manager for several properties including the Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites in the Greater Indianapolis metropolitan area.

He was previously with Alliance Hospitality in Albany, New York, as General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn and with Tharaldson Lodging, where he served as East Coast Area Director. He began his hospitality career with CSM Lodging, where he served as General Manager for the Country Inn & Suites and TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Milwaukee/Brookfield, WI.

Williams is the recipient of many hospitality awards and recognition including "Best-Practice" Property Champion by Cornell University and the American Hotel Foundation, Best Team Approach to Revenue Management & Forecast Accuracy from Alliance Hospitality and Area Director of the Year, Extended Services Division with Tharaldson Lodging.

Ron Couget is Director of Sales & Marketing for the Sandestin Marriott Courtyard and Marriott Residence Inn and has oversight of all sales and marketing activities for both Marriott properties.

Couget joins the Sandestin Marriotts from the Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort & Spa where he most recently held the position of Director of Sales and formerly held the positions of assistant director of sales and sales manager, southeast territory. Couget has also held a variety of sales leadership roles with Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, MS, The Fairmont Hotel, New Orleans, LA, Le Meridian Hotel, New Orleans, LA, and the Clarion Hotel New Orleans, LA. Couget began his management career in rooms operations at the Monteleone Hotel, New Orleans.

Couget received his bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans. Couget has also successfully completed several industry sales related training programs including, "Sharpen Your Business Communications Skills" (Lyon Sales Institute); "Director of Sales Training" and "Customer Focused Selling" (Hilton Hotels Corporation) and "Mastering Sales Productivity" (Master Connections Associates). He is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

The Residence Inn and the Courtyard Sandestin at Grand Boulevard are managed by Sandestin Investments LLC and owned by the Destin development company, Howard Group.
