PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, today announced that it has elected 10 new partners from its attorney ranks. The promotions will become effective on February 1, 2015.

The 2015 partners-elect are:

Calise Cheng, Corporate and Securities. Based in Palo Alto, Cheng advises clients ranging from start-ups to large public companies on corporate and transactional matters, including venture-backed financings, securities offerings, M&A, and governance issues. She also represents venture capital firms and other institutional investors. Cheng received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2006.

Farah Gerdes, Intellectual Property. Based in Palo Alto, Gerdes represents pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostic companies in intellectual property transactions. In addition, she advises clients on FDA regulatory and healthcare issues. She earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2005.

Andrew Hoffman, Corporate and Securities. Based in Palo Alto, Hoffman represents public and private companies in transactional and governance matters, including capital markets transactions, SOX compliance and SEC disclosure requirements, incorporation, and venture financings. He also represents financial institutions, venture capital firms, and other investors. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2003.

Michael Labriola, Corporate and Securities. Based in Washington, D.C., Labriola focuses his practice on general corporate representation, public offerings, venture financings, and M&A transactions. He works with public and private technology companies through all stages of growth, as well as investment banks, venture capital funds, and private equity firms. Labriola received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005.

Tamika Montgomery-Reeves, Litigation. Based in Wilmington, DE, Montgomery-Reeves advises clients on corporate governance and corporate fiduciary duties. She also represents companies and their officers and directors in stockholder class action and derivative litigation, and in other commercial disputes. She received her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006.

Manja Sachet, Intellectual Property. Based in Seattle, Sachet works with clients in the energy, software, digital media, and information technology sectors on domestic and international business transactions driven by the use or acquisition of technology and intellectual property rights. She received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2005.

Tony Weibell, Litigation. Based in Palo Alto, Weibell represents clients large and small in complex civil litigation involving consumer class action, e-commerce, intellectual property, privacy, antitrust, false advertising, and contractual disputes. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 2005.

Damien Weiss, Corporate and Securities. Based in Palo Alto, Weiss represents public and private companies in venture capital financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. He also represents venture capital firms and other institutional investors in transactional matters. Weiss received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2006.

David Wickwire, Corporate and Securities. Based in Seattle, Wickwire represents technology, software, digital media, and energy companies, as well as early-stage venture capital firms. His experience includes counseling entrepreneurs and advising on company formation, capitalization structures, equity compensation, and transaction-related negotiations. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998.

Brian Willen, Litigation. Based in Palo Alto, Willen focuses his practice on Internet-related litigation and counseling, with an emphasis on copyright law, online privacy, and other technology-related legal issues. He also represents leading technology companies in privacy-related class actions. Willen received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2001.
