Wink Introduces AI HD Video Converter for 4K, Scene-Aware Video Enhancement

Browser-based HD video converter tool combines adaptive enhancement, batch processing and flexible exports for reusable video content.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Wink has introduced its HD Video Converter, an online tool for improving and repurposing existing footage. The tool is intended for creators, e-commerce sellers, social media teams and everyday users. It combines AI-powered video enhancement, scene-adaptive processing and flexible export options in a browser-based workflow. Changing file format or resolution is only part of the process.

According to the company, video from phones and cameras often passes through several stages before publication. A compressed copy may be made during transfer. A later version may be downloaded from a social platform or reused for a new campaign. By then, details may be softer, lighting uneven and compression artifacts more noticeable.

Wink released HD Video Converter to address these quality problems during conversion. Grainy noise can be reduced. The tool also refines fine textures and corrects color. It retains the recording's original movement and composition as the file is converted to HD.

What Wink HD Video Converter Offers

Wink combines four capabilities: scene-adaptive enhancement, resolution choices, cloud batch processing and reusable exports. These are intended to help prepare existing footage for its next use.

Scene-Adaptive Video Enhancement

Lighting can change within one recording. Wink adjusts its processing as those conditions change. The converter considers motion and depth alongside the light. Fine hair and pores are meant to remain visible. Processing aims to preserve skin texture. Smoothing and sharpening are limited to preserve natural light.

1080p, 2K and 4K Export Options

Resolution is a choice for the finished file. Users choose between 1080p, 2K and 4K for the file they will take to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. An MP4, MOV or MKV recording from another device can come into Wink for conversion.

Cloud-Based Batch HD Video Conversion

Processing takes place online, reducing dependence on the power of a local computer. Batch HD video conversion handles multiple files in one job. A seller updating a catalogue of product clips, or a team preparing posts on deadline, can upload the group together. Users can organize the material for processing without starting a separate job for every file.

"The HD video converter responds to changes in light, movement and depth while keeping fine textures natural," said Daniel Carter, a Wink spokesperson. "Users can prepare 4K video for social content, process several files in the cloud and save HD video, still frames or Live Photos. That gives existing recordings more than one use."

One Video, Multiple Reusable Assets

Users may download the enhanced HD video at the end of a job. High-quality still frames are another option. A chosen highlight can be turned into a Live Photo. These exports give a single recording several uses. A creator can prepare compressed phone footage for a Reel. An e-commerce seller can process several product demonstrations together. A social media team could then pull a clear frame for a cover image or supporting post.
