Wisconsin Virtual Academy Welcomes Students to Open Enroll for 2016-2017 School Year

MCFARLAND, Wis., Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Wisconsin Virtual Academy (WIVA), an online public charter school, is accepting Open Enrollment applications for the 2016-2017 school year. Open Enrollment is available to students in grades K-12 who reside anywhere in the state, however families must submit an application during the state's Open Enrollment window: Monday, February 1, 2016 through 4 p.m. CST on Friday, April 29, 2016. Submitting an Open Enrollment application does not commit students to enrolling in the fall, but does provide them the option to do so at a later date.

WIVA is a tuition-free academic option for students who seek alternatives to a traditional brick-and-mortar education. Lessons are accessed online, and each student is supported by a highly-qualified, Wisconsin-licensed teacher who monitors student progress while providing professional insight and guidance. Teachers communicate with students and parents via phone, email and the online classroom technology in order to provide a highly individualized approach that helps prepare students for post-graduation career or college success.

Core subjects like English, History, Math and Science offer a large variety of AP-level coursework, and students have access to a wide selection of electives such as world languages to help them prepare for life after graduation.
