With Launch of Consumer Product ActiveCare Announces New Head of Sales and Marketing
SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ActiveCare, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ACAR), a technology service company that develops and provides 24/7 living assistance and emergency response solutions to seniors, announced today that it has appointed David Gumner to head up the rollout of ActiveCare's products to consumers. ActiveCare has commenced introducing its ActiveOne product and service through multiple retail channels. To guide and direct this market introduction, the Company sought out David Gumner who has a consumer goods, sales and marketing background with over 25 years' experience building powerful consumer brands. Mr. Gumner will spearhead advertising and marketing programs, sales and distribution initiatives, and all consumer-facing communications to build awareness and adoption of ActiveCare products and services, and loyalty to the ActiveCare brand.

Mr. Gumner has helped launch, build and nurture several iconic consumer brands during his career, which includes a focus on health and wellness related products and services over the past decade. Most recently, David was Vice President, Mass Market Marketing and Business Development at Nature's Way Products. At Nature's Way he extended the specialty retail & health food focused Nature's Way brand into the mass market, building a multi-million dollar business in food, drug, mass market and warehouse club stores. He also worked closely with Nature's Way's mass market retail partners, including Wal-Mart, Walgreen's, CVS, Rite Aid, Target and other retailers in the food, drug, mass and warehouse club channels.

Mr. Gumner is a "classically-trained" consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketer, beginning his career at Procter & Gamble followed by Kraft Foods. David earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University and his MBA from Cornell University.
