Women in Localization Continues Global Expansion

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Women in Localization (W.L.), the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry, is delighted to announce the launch of a new chapter in the Netherlands and the expansion of the German chapter. With this, W.L. expands its global presence to eleven global chapters.

With the launch of the new W.L. chapter in the Netherlands, Women in Localization welcomes Stefania Russo as Chapter Manager. Stefania is Global Content Manager at TNT in The Netherlands, and will start forming the new Chapter effective immediately.

In addition, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of the German Chapter to serve localization professionals across the entire country, from Berlin to Munich. At the helm, Women in Localization welcomes Catharina Pawella as the new Chapter Manager for Germany. Catharina is Global Content Strategist and Head of Content, DE at eBay. The German chapter was originally created in 2014 in Munich.

The Global Expansion and Chapter Committee, led by Michele Smith, is on task to ensure that these chapters are as successful as the rest of the existing Women in Localization chapters around the world. "Our roadmap expands systematically with incredible strength, supported by talented local leaders like Stefania and Catharina. We are thrilled. Chapter Managers represent our 'feet on the ground', leading our expansion and representing our mission," says Anna N. Schlegel, co-founder of Women in Localization.
