COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Elevation Group, producers of Cleveland's music festival - LaureLive - announced today that they will be launching a brand new music festival in Columbus, Ohio this August 17-18, 2019. The new festival will be called WonderBus and will be curated by the same team and in the same fashion as LaureLive - a fun, safe, highly entertaining music festival with great food, artisan vendors and ancillary activities appropriate for all ages. The WonderBus lineup is fully booked and will be announced after the Spring Break holiday in early April. The location of the event, key community partnerships and all ticket information will be revealed at the time of the lineup announcement, with all tickets going on sale the same week.

Elevation, a recognized leader in producing live entertainment events including LaureLive, is partnering with Columbus native, Cliff Chenfeld - co-founder and former owner of leading indie record label Razor & Tie Music and Kidz Bop. Columbus business leader, Rick Milenthal and his marketing agency - The Shipyard - are also partners in the new festival as is Michelle Wesley, a Cleveland-based businesswoman, philanthropist and founder of Music Elevates - a non-profit entity with a mission to educate, inspire and motivate future generations while embracing, participating in and promoting one of the world's great assets - MUSIC.
The City of Columbus and the State of Ohio should expect the same high level, mission-based, festival experience as LaureLive. "We cannot think of a better way for Ohio residents to bookend their summer. LaureLive in early June and WonderBus in late August," stated Elevation chief operating officer and WonderBus executive producer Steve Lindecke. "When Cliff and Rick came to us with the idea of staging a LaureLive-style festival in Columbus to close the summer, it was an easy decision for us."
Cleveland's music festival launched in 2016 and has quickly become one of Northeast Ohio's largest annual events. LaureLive has featured acts including: Grammy Award winners Gary Clark, Jr., Brandi Carlile, Apollo's Fire and Stephen Marley plus some of the biggest Indie Pop/ALT/Jam Rock bands today: Foster The People, Fitz & The Tantrums, O.A.R., Daya, Lauv, Elle King, Young The Giant, Andy Grammer, Cold War Kids, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Head and The Heart, Grace Potter and more. Last year's event drew an estimated 20,000 attendees.
