World Ballet Day To Be Live-Streamed In China For The First Time Via Tencent

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The fourth annual World Ballet Day LIVE, a 22-hour live stream with five of the world's leading ballet companies, will be broadcast in China for the first time from October 4 at 6pm–October 5 at 4pm PDT. Tencent's digital channels offer a combined reach of many millions, bringing the joy of dance to new audiences. The full broadcast will be streamed on sfballet.org/WBD.

The fourth annual World Ballet Day LIVE, a 22-hour live stream with five of the world’s leading ballet companies, will be broadcast in China for the first time from October 4 at 6pm–October 5 at 4pm PDT.

Tencent will live stream the full program in China, sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada, and San Francisco Ballet.

SF Ballet boasts four Chinese artists including Principal Dancer Yuan Yuan Tan; SF Ballet last performed in China in October 2015.

A recording will be available on each company's website, Facebook, and YouTube for 30 days.
