Worth Magazine Announces Fourth Annual Worth Power 100: The 100 Most Influential People In Finance, Featured In October/November Issue And On Worth.com

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth consecutive year, Worth, the definitive personal finance and lifestyle magazine for high net worth readers, has published its annual list of the 100 most powerful people in finance in its October/November 2013 issue, today announced Worth Editor-in-Chief Richard Bradley.

"This year's list is compelling in many ways, starting with the fact that a woman, SEC chair Mary Jo White, holds the top spot for the first time," said Bradley. "What we saw over the last 12 months was really a clash of the titans—the most powerful figures at the country's biggest banks squaring off against the most powerful regulators and prosecutors in Washington and New York."

Over the past four years, Worth has tracked the ups and downs of every member from previous rosters. Some past honorees, such as Bill Gates, Peter Thiel, and Warren Buffett, dropped in ranking and others, including John Boehner and Tim Cook, dropped off the list this year entirely. Those making their first appearance on the Power 100 include Carl Icahn (#33), Eric H. Holder Jr. (#73), Elizabeth Warren (#27) and Barclays CEO Antony Jenkins (#59).

In order to compile the Power 100, Worth's editorial team goes through a rigorous selection process, which includes close monitoring of the comings and goings of both past honorees and newcomers to the scene, as well as talking to industry influencers.
