Wounded Warrior Project Announces New Board Leadership, Directors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Wounded Warrior Project^® (WWP) announced new leadership and six new directors for its board of directors. Bill Selman will serve as board chair and Kristen Robinson as vice chair alongside new directors Juan C. Andrade, Anjali Chaturvedi, Dr. Telita Crosland, Dr. Ross "Rusty" Segan, Steven E. Simms, and Nicole "Nikki" Osborn. The expanded 14-member Board brings broad experience across military and public service, healthcare, business, finance, law, and technology as WWP^® prepares to meet the growing and evolving needs of warriors, service members, and their families.

Juan C. Andrade is president and CEO of USAA, where he leads one of the nation's largest financial services organizations dedicated to serving the military community and their families. His career spans global business, financial services, national security, and public service, including senior leadership roles across the insurance industry and federal service with the Department of Defense, Drug Enforcement Administration, and White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. His national security service earned him the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service. As CEO, Andrade has served on USAA's board of directors since 2020 and serves on the American Red Cross board of governors.

Anjali Chaturvedi is vice president and chief ethics officer at BAE Systems, Inc., with more than 30 years of experience spanning law, government, corporate governance, ethics, public service, and nonprofit board leadership. Chaturvedi previously served as deputy assistant attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division, leading a team of 100 attorneys and staff investigating international human rights and violent crime matters. She also held senior legal and investigative roles at Northrop Grumman and BP and served as legislative counsel on the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. 

Dr. Telita Crosland is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general, a medical doctor, and a healthcare leader with more than three decades of experience leading large, complex organizations. Most recently, she served as director of the Defense Health Agency, overseeing a $61 billion global health enterprise serving more than 9.5 million beneficiaries. In that role, she advanced major healthcare modernization efforts, including digital health technologies, AI-enabled clinical tools, and the $9 billion Military Health System electronic health record implementation. Dr. Crosland previously served as deputy surgeon general of the U.S. Army and held senior leadership roles throughout the Military Health System.

Dr. Ross "Rusty" Segan is a physician executive, board director, former U.S. Army surgeon, and wounded warrior whose career spans military medicine, public service, and global MedTech leadership. During Operation Enduring Freedom, he performed the first laparoscopic surgery in Afghanistan and helped establish a multinational surgical training program in Kabul. He was later medically retired from surgery as a result of injuries sustained during a combat medevac mission. Segan subsequently held senior executive roles at Olympus, Johnson & Johnson, and Covidien before leading one of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's largest medical-device oversight organizations. Today, he serves on the board of directors of RQM+, is Founder and CEO of Medical & Scientific Advisors, LLC, and is a Founding Partner of White Oak 66 Capital.

Steven E. Simms brings extensive executive leadership and board governance experience to WWP's board. He retired as president and CEO of Colfax Corporation and previously served as executive vice president of Danaher Corporation and held senior leadership positions at Black & Decker Corporation. On the governance side, Simms served as chairman of the board for Apex Tools and currently serves on the board of directors for Perdue Farms and the board of trustees for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Nicole "Nikki" Osborn is an entrepreneur and healthcare executive with experience spanning clinical research, technology, AI, and data analytics. She is CEO of Todata Analytics, where she leads the development of AI-powered analytics solutions that help organizations turn data into strategic decisions. Osborn previously founded Meridian Clinical Research, building the company into one of the nation's successful clinical research site networks before its acquisition in 2022. Her commitment to philanthropy includes co-founding the Sam Osborn Memorial Golf Tournament, which has raised more than $2 million to support children and families, adaptive athletics, and community initiatives.

As WWP welcomes its newest directors, the organization also recognizes Tiffany Daugherty, Florent Groberg, Kathy Hildreth, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Ken Hunzeker, and Lindsey Streeter, whose terms on the board are concluding. Their leadership, perspective, and commitment have helped guide WWP through an important period of growth and positioned the organization for the future.
