Wyndham Vacation Ownership Takes Home ARDA ACE Community Service Award

ORLANDO, Fla., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO), the world's largest vacation ownership company and a member of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies (NYSE: WYN), won the ACE Community Service Award, along with 13 other prestigious industry awards at the annual American Resort Development Association (ARDA) Awards Gala at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, April 15. The ARDA Awards celebrate the best and brightest in the vacation ownership industry in more than 60 categories.

The ACE Community Service Award recognizes the company's integral role in last year's Give Kids the World (GKTW) "Extreme Village Makeover" where 88 villas underwent renovations at the GKTW Village, a 70-acre, non-profit "storybook" resort in Kissimmee, Florida for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. In January 2014, more than 400 WVO employees volunteered at the Village adding new paint, flooring, kitchens and baths, furniture, electrical, recycling materials and more. Through the effort of all the volunteers, the villas were completely renovated in order to serve as a beautiful "home away from home" for all the deserving families who visit the GKTW Village.
