XCMG Opens 11th Staff Arts Festival, Reaching More Than 5.3 Million Worldwide

XUZHOU, China, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The 11th XCMG Staff Arts Festival opened in Xuzhou on September 19, with more than 3,000 employees from XCMG's businesses and operations taking part. Under the theme "Charming XCMG, Everyone Shines," the festival showcased XCMG's employee culture and corporate growth through performances, construction equipment displays and a global livestream.

The event was carried by more than 50 media outlets and social media platforms worldwide, reaching an audience of more than 5.3 million and generating more than 400,000 views overseas.

The festival brought performances by employees together with XCMG construction machinery, giving employees in different roles an opportunity to shine while connecting colleagues in China and overseas. The equipment was more than a backdrop: it helped set up the stage, lighting and sound systems, making the machinery itself part of the event.

The performances unfolded in three sections — "Charming XCMG People," "Now Is the Time to Pursue Our Dreams" and "A Journey in Song" — using music, dance and other art forms to tell the stories of frontline employees' work, professional aspirations and growth alongside the company.

Yang Dongsheng, chairman of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, described the festival as both an artistic event and a cultural celebration created for employees. He said the theme, "Charming XCMG, Everyone Shines," reflects XCMG's commitment to giving employees a platform to showcase their talents while celebrating the dedication, innovation and pursuit of excellence demonstrated across its workforce.

The event was staged against the backdrop of the world's first 14,000-ton ring crane. XCMG crawler and wheeled cranes jointly hoisted a large screen, while dozens of aerial work platforms and cranes supported the installation of lighting, sound and other facilities, making construction machinery an integral part of the stage presentation.

Tracing its roots to a staff arts performance in 1992, the festival has evolved over more than three decades into a companywide cultural event encompassing music and dance, calligraphy and painting, performances, and cultural and creative programs. Over the same period, XCMG has grown into the world's third-largest construction machinery manufacturer.

The festival also featured a food market, XCMG-branded merchandise and interactive brand and technology exhibits. That evening, 2,000 drones took to the sky for a 12-scene light show built around the theme, bringing industry, art and technology together in a visual highlight.
