The cutting-edge service allows customers to instantly send airtime credit online from the U.S. to prepaid mobile phones in 16 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Peru, Guatemala, El Salvador, and more.

In a recent proprietary survey of Xoom customers that have sent money to Mexico and have used a reload service in the past, 54 percent add airtime credit to their loved one's mobile phone monthly or more often.
