XTRATUF Introduces New Styles For Spring 2015 Collection

SMITHFIELD, R.I., April 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- XTRATUF, a beloved fishing boot brand popular in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, today announced that it is expanding its selection of premium outdoor footwear this spring with a Performance Deck Boot and the Bluefin performance deck shoe.

The new Performance Deck Boot is 100 percent waterproof from toe to top, with a comfort stretch neoprene upper, air mesh lining and a slip-resistant chevron outsole for traction on slick surfaces. The neoprene upper makes it lighter than a rubber boot, while offering superior flexibility. The Performance Deck Boot is available in mid and high heights, and in navy and black/grey.

The men's Bluefin deck shoe is an extension of XTRATUF's collection of slip resistant shoes featuring a signature chevron outsole. The Bluefin is designed with a breathable air mesh allowing it to dry quickly. Resistant to water stains, this performance deck shoe also features microfiber leather and medial weep holes for drainage. It is available in navy and chocolate, and provides optimal comfort and function on any deck or dock.

"XTRATUF Boots have long been the go-to boot for both commercial and recreational fishermen alike," said Sean O'Brien, global director of footwear for XTRATUF. "We wanted to continue to build upon the already rich heritage of the brand by providing our loyal customers with quality footwear that would fit all facets of their lives."

Originally developed in the 1960's for fishermen on the West Coast of the United States, today XTRATUF footwear is worn for commercial and recreational fishing, outdoor activities, and as a fashion and trend statement in Alaska and around the world.

The complete XTRATUF collection includes the best-selling Legacy boot, the XTRATUF II, Performance Deck Boot, and Performance Deck Shoes that include the Finatic, Chumrunner, Sharkbyte, and now the Bluefin. Not your typical rubber boot, XTRATUF Boots are triple-dipped to create a seamless coating of rubber that further strengthen an already watertight material, thus sealing the boots making them impervious to fish oils and chemicals. The soft, pliable and lightweight neoprene latex rubber gives XTRATUF Boots unparalleled comfort and flexibility. The hand-layered construction allows for flex and strength at critical stress points on the boot. A chevron outsole design and unique rubber compound provides maximum surface contact for ultimate traction and stability in even the most severe fishing and work conditions. These 100 percent waterproof boots are ideal for general work and outdoor activities in both cold and warm weather alike.
