HAVANT, England, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Xyratex Ltd (Nasdaq: XRTX), a leading provider of enterprise class data storage solutions and hard disk drive capital equipment, will be exhibiting at the Supercomputing 2011 Conference (SC11) in Seattle, Washington and will demonstrate its exciting ClusterStor 3000™ High Performance Computing (HPC) data storage solution.

The Supercomputing conferences continue to be a global source of information and education in supercomputing, offering the opportunity for interaction among seasoned HPC community professionals, organizations, and the research sectors. The SC11 technical programs include conferences, presentations, papers, speaking panels, workshops and more, providing access to the most current developments and research in HPC.

This year marks the first exhibitor level participation for Xyratex at SC11 with a booth on the exhibition floor displaying storage solution demonstrations as well as informative presentations on The Future of HPC Data Storage, Lustre specific presentations at the show's Lustre® Pavilion hosted by the OpenSFS, and presence in multiple customer and partner booths including Mellanox Technologies and others.

The foremost highlight for SC11 attendees will be the demonstration and future roadmap discussions of Xyratex's new high performance Lustre storage solution for HPC, branded ClusterStor 3000, which will be available exclusively through Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the fourth quarter of 2011. Xyratex developed the ClusterStor 3000 by leveraging its expertise in clustered file systems, enterprise class integrated application platforms, and high availability storage subsystem design. The ClusterStor 3000 architecture delivers three interrelated benefits to HPC environments: linear performance scalability, ease of installation and management, and enhanced storage system reliability at scale.
