Yale Locks & Hardware renews commitment to Habitat for Humanity with $5 million pledge of locksets

ATLANTA and NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 7, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, today announced it will renew its pledge to support Habitat for Humanity in its effort to create decent, affordable housing. The commitment is Yale's fourth consecutive five-year pledge, each time donating $5 million of interior and exterior locks and keys for Habitat homes.

Habitat for Humanity and Yale Locks & Hardware have partnered since 2001 to help Habitat homeowners and their families build safe and secure places to live.

In addition to donated locksets, employee volunteers from Yale and other ASSA ABLOY Group brands have helped build houses with Habitat homeowners in Connecticut, Iowa, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Mexico.
