NEW YORK, May 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Y&R New Zealand took home Best of Show at last night's New York Festivals International Advertising Awards ceremony.
Y&R New Zealand's "McWhopper" campaign also scooped Grand Prize in Avant-Garde/Innovation as well as First Prize in Avante-Garde/Innovation and Second Prize in Digital.
Tony Granger, Global Chief Creative Officer of Y&R, credited the Burger King client for making the idea a reality.
"We are thrilled to be awarded Best of Show at tonight's ceremony. This was an idea that we believed in passionately, but it would not have been possible without our client, Fernando Machado, who supported and inspired us. Tonight's award is proof that brave clients get the work that they deserve," said Granger.
This recognition follows Y&R New Zealand's recent GRANDY win for "McWhopper" at this year's ANDY awards in April.
Also last night, Y&R New Zealand was named Most Awarded Agency of the Year at London's D&AD Awards, with 11 Pencils, 8 of which were for the McWhopper campaign.
