Yung-Yu Ma Named Chief Investment Strategist of PNC Asset Management Group

PITTSBURGH, May 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- PNC Asset Management Group (AMG) has named Yung-Yu Ma, Ph.D., as its chief investment strategist. Ma brings more than 20 years of financial services and consulting experience to the Investment Office role, including nearly 10 years heading the investment strategies and processes for a leading wealth management firm.

As AMG Chief Investment Strategist, Ma will be tasked with developing investment solutions for both individual and institutional clients. He will lead a team that establishes the overall strategic and tactical asset allocation guidance for client portfolios, manage the evolution of investment processes and provide thought leadership on key investment issues. He also will be responsible for managing the firm's asset allocation models. He will be based in Philadelphia and report to AMG Chief Investment Officer Amanda Agati.

Ma most recently served as chief investment officer for BMO Wealth Management where he led asset allocation, market analysis, modeling, and portfolio construction for the firm. Just prior to that, he served as chief investment strategist for the same organization when he led the tactical and strategic asset allocation for client and model portfolios. He also oversaw a team of strategists, generalists, and specialists throughout the institution's footprint.

From 2009 to 2016, Ma was an assistant professor of finance at Lehigh University, where he taught an intermediate investments course on equity, fixed income, and derivatives.
