Yunnan Power Grid Corporation to Manage Power Transmission and Distribution Supply With Intergraph® Geospatial Technology

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Yunnan Power Grid Corporation (YNPG), a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid and based in Yunnan province, China, has selected Intergraph® geospatial solutions to manage its power transmission and distribution supply across the entire Yunnan province. The Intergraph technology will be used to build an integrated electricity transmission and distribution model that complies with the Common Information Model (CIM) standard, the first of its kind in China.

YNPG required a technology partner to ensure the efficiency, reliability and security of its power transmission and distribution management system. YNPG chose Intergraph for its proven geospatial technology and innovative solutions, and selected Intergraph's G/Technology and GeoMedia® suite of solutions.
