Zacks Investment Management Launches New Podcast
CHICAGO, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The popularity of podcasts is growing exponentially these days and for good reason. They're very accessible and many times entertaining. They also provide a great way to gain information on a variety of topics. More importantly published reports show they're also changing the way people learn about money and investing, especially for those with a longer time horizon.
Against this backdrop, Zacks Investment Management is launching its own podcast called The Steady Investor. It's aimed at using sound logic and proven strategies in longer term investing. "Far too often, we hear a lot of market commentary, forecasts and opinions on the stock market and retirement planning, yet you still ask--How does it all connect and affect me?" says Mitch Zacks, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Zacks Investment Management and host of the program. "It's important to understand the bigger picture and more importantly the aspects of retirement planning."
The Steady Investor is cohosted by Mark Vickery. In addition to current financial issues and trends, the show will explore the market and retirement planning in a way that listeners won't have to be an economist to understand. It will provide information to help keep them in smooth waters as well as explain what to do when the water becomes choppy.

Mitchel E. Zacks, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, is one of the two primary portfolio managers at Zacks Investment Management and oversees all investment research activities at the firm. Mitch has spent his entire investment management career of eighteen years researching, developing, and managing quantitatively driven portfolio management strategies in the equity markets. Mitch wrote a weekly finance column for the Chicago Sun-Times and has written two books on quantitative investment strategies: Ahead of the Market, Harper Collins 2003 and The Little Book of Stock Market Profits, John Wiley 2011. Mitch graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1995 with distinction in his major of Economics. He received his M.B.A with High Honors in his concentration of Analytic Finance and Statistics from the University of Chicago, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma in 1999.
