Zagat Launches New App for iPad(TM)

NEW YORK, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned restaurant guide publisher Zagat is pleased to announce the release of ZAGAT TO GO for iPad™ today. Developed with Handmark®, a leading mobile application provider, ZAGAT TO GO for iPad is the latest addition to Zagat's suite of apps available across a wide range of mobile platforms. The new iPad app offers access to Zagat's succinct restaurant ratings and reviews that help diners make quick, informed decisions based on the collective opinions of thousands of avid diners.  The universal app costs $9.99 for new users, while existing ZAGAT TO GO for iPhone and iPod touch customers will receive free upgrades.

Restaurant listings can be displayed on a map or in Zagat's classic guidebook layout – a throwback to the company's print publishing roots.  Each detail page includes Zagat's signature ratings and reviews as well as photos, features, and more.  Users can add restaurants to their favorites list, make online reservations, or save business details to their contacts. Up to 8 results can be e-mailed via the classic book view, creating a mini Zagat guide to share with friends, family or other dining companions.
