CUPERTINO, Calif., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Zend, the PHP Company, today announced that Zend Server is available on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace as a free trial. Designed as a platform to enable the Continuous Delivery of applications, Zend Server's strong infrastructure- and release automation features work well on the AWS cloud. Businesses can deploy and continuously deliver their PHP apps using a complete, pre-built Amazon Machine Image (AMI) with Zend Server configured to run on a Linux cloud server.
"With the free trial of Zend Server on AWS Marketplace, it's easier than ever for developers to try out the best practices for intelligently provisioning their applications and infrastructure—an important part of Continuous Delivery," said Boaz Ziniman, Zend's Senior Director of Technology and Cloud. "Zend's infrastructure automation, automatic provisioning and configuration control, combined with the AWS scalable, pay-as-you-go model, is agile infrastructure at its finest."
Zend Server is an application server with a supported PHP runtime that can scale apps seamlessly across cloud resources. Zend Server gives PHP developers and DevOps engineers tools like app deployment automation, performance monitoring, request analysis, and configuration management so apps run faster, scale better, and stay up longer. It is particularly useful for running mobile app back ends that require scalability based on demand.
The Zend Server software is free for 30 days, and can seamlessly transition to paid use after the trial period ends. Zend Server is available for Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, both in professional and enterprise editions, on AWS Marketplace.
