Zumasys Acquires Assets of Choice Computing
Opens Offices in New York & New Jersey
IRVINE, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Zumasys, a leading provider of Cloud Computing and on-site infrastructure technology solutions, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Choice Computing, a software development firm based in Ithaca, New York. Together, the companies will offer scalable ERP systems for metal distributors, custom software development and application hosting services to customers across North America.
The combined entity will provide bi-coastal support for Zumasys' hosted "Cloud" customers and increased development resources to MetalTrack, a leading software package for metal distributors owned by Choice Computing. Additionally Zumasys will offer Web, Windows & Mobile software applications to businesses including those running MetalTrack.
As part of the transaction, Ray Gasser will join Zumasys as Vice President and manage a new support center for the company based in Ithaca, New York. Additionally, Frank Petillo will join Zumasys as a Senior Systems Engineer based in Manahawkin, New Jersey. Zumasys will also be using the expertise of Maria Gasser, one of the principals of Choice Computing and a Lead Software Developer.
