100 High Schools Share $3.25 million in Celebrate My Drive® grants

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Dec. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrate My Drive, powered by State Farm,® is proud to announce winners of the campaign designed to raise awareness and promote teen driver safety. One hundred high schools will share in a total of $3.25 million in grants connected to their participation in the program.

Over 3,200 high schools across North America participated, generating more than 6.1 million online safe driving commitments. Winning high schools generated the most commitments, while amplifying conversations around teen driver safety and addressing the leading cause of death for teens.

Leading up to and during the activation of Celebrate My Drive, students, high schools and entire communities developed creative campaigns to promote safe driving and generate excitement. Over 4,500 State Farm agents partnered with schools, supporting their efforts. As a result, positive conversations about ways we can all be safer behind the wheel increased, including driving 2N2^®; 2 eyes on the road, 2 hands on the wheel.

Two grand prize winning high schools, Cascade High School in Cascade, Iowa, and Wayne County High School in Jesup, Ga., won $100,000 grants and a private concert from GRAMMY® nominated The Band Perry, to be performed in spring 2015.

The following top 10 schools will receive $100,000 each, 10 percent of which will be aimed at promoting teen driver safety for students:
