1031 DST Group Announces Appointment of Partner/Director to Launch Expansion of New Alternative and Energy Programs

Seasoned executive with background in the oil and gas and real estate industry will head up the new office in Dallas, Texas

MURRAY, Utah and DALLAS, Feb. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Ray DeWitt, President and Founder of 1031 DST Group today announced the appointment of Brandon Burger as Partner and Director of Energy Products. In his new position, Burger will manage the Texas office for the company. Over the last 10 years, he has worked on the land side of the energy business with Turner Oil & Gas, with clients spanning from Chesapeake Energy to Newfield Exploration and more. He was in energy acquisitions with Shepherd Royalty, and helped buy assets across multiple formations in the US. Burger also served as the Executive Vice-President of Resource Royalty, bringing 100 million of producing royalty assets to the alternative market. 

As a newly established company into the 1031 DST (Delaware Statutory Trust) for tax deferred investments, DeWitt and his team boast more than 50 years combined experience.
