1,200+ Students to Receive Free Vision Care & Glasses During OneSight Clinics in Arizona, California and Nevada

Local doctors and teams from EyeMed Vision Care, EYEXAM of California, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Oakley and Sunglass Hut volunteer to help area students during OneSight Clinics in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix

CINCINNATI, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "Exam Week" takes on new meaning for more than 1,200 students who will receive free eye exams and new glasses during OneSight Vision Clinics this week in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix. The clinics are hosted by OneSight, a vision care nonprofit that has helped 8.5 million people since 1988.

OneSight is working with local partners in these communities to serve children who are pre-screened and referred by school nurses (walk-in appointments are not available):

• Jan. 27-Feb. 1: OneSight Vision Clinic with Los Angeles Unified School District at Exposition Park
• Jan. 27-28: OneSight Vision Van Mobile Clinic with Las Vegas Clark County School District at Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy
• Jan. 30-31: OneSight Vision Van Mobile Clinic with Phoenix Unified School District at Phoenix Children's Hospital

All students attending the clinics will receive comprehensive eye exams and glasses if needed based on their prescription. Local doctors, technicians and teams from EyeMed Vision Care, EYEXAM of California, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Oakley and Sunglass Hut are volunteering their services to support area children and families. The Clinic team will be able to manufacture the majority of prescriptions onsite, ensuring students immediately receive the quality glasses they need to see and learn their best.

OneSight programs in the United States consist of one-week Vision Clinics held in local schools and Vision Van Clinics held onboard EyeLeen, OneSight's state-of-the-art mobile vision center and optical lab. OneSight launched its 2014 Vision Clinic schedule last week in Bakersfield, California, during which more than 400 students received comprehensive eye exams and 96% needed glasses.
