LIVERMORE, Calif., April 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On Labor Day weekend, August 31 through September 3, 2012, Campo di Bocce of Livermore, California will host the 2012 United States Bocce Federation's Western Sector Bocce Club Championship.
Clubs from across the Western United States will be selecting their best teams. Up to two teams from each club will compete in this pioneering year of this Clubs Championship.
All Bocce organizations are invited to join in this Labor Day weekend event. From organized Bocce clubs to senior center teams, all will compete toward the title of Best Bocce Club in the Western United States.
"The goal of this competition," said Ben Musolf, a National Director for the United States Bocce Federation, "is to create an increased awareness for the sport of Bocce, and to make this the largest open rules Bocce tournament in the United States. We expect some 50 to 60 of the best clubs from Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and California to participate, making this inaugural tournament the largest of its kind in the country."
