RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Whitlock, a video collaboration company, announces expanded roles of its executive team to support its enterprise delivery model and the growing global solutions market. After a strong finish for 2017, two Whitlock leaders are shifting into new roles in 2018.
Ewan Smith, the company's Eastern region VP, was recently promoted to serve as National Vice President at Whitlock. This is a new position, which will encompass driving best practices for customer and employee experiences for the company's 23 offices and 900 employees nationwide. Ewan, who has been with Whitlock for six years, will now report directly to Doug Hall, CEO, and serve as a liaison between Whitlock sales and services organizations.
"Ewan will provide an overarching role, bringing his successful customer-focused business strategies from his previous position to all of Whitlock nationwide," explains Doug. "He will be a customer advocate with the other line of business leaders at Whitlock, and will also bring greater focus on employees and culture building."
Another key announcement from Whitlock is the election of John Bailey, its VP of Technology, to serve as President of the Board for the Global Presence Alliance (GPA) in 2018. As the GPA President John will provide leadership and oversight of the organization's Board of Directors as well as the GPA's Foundation and Corporation, and will work closely to coordinate global strategies and planning with the GPA Executive Director.
John previously served with the GPA as a Board member and as Chairperson of the Operations Council. He has developed many of the global standards for this organization as well as for InfoComm/Avixa.
