LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Korea Tourism Organization Los Angeles Office successfully hosted the "2026 K-Medical Tourism B2B LA" on September 17 at JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, bringing together Korea's leading medical and wellness institutions with U.S. tourism and healthcare industry professionals.
As the first large-scale medical and wellness tourism roadshow hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization in the United States, the event aimed to introduce Korea's advanced healthcare, beauty, and wellness offerings to the U.S. market while creating meaningful business opportunities between Korean medical institutions and global tourism partners.
With growing interest in K-Beauty and increasing demand for personalized medical and wellness experiences among U.S. consumers, the Korea Tourism Organization Los Angeles Office organized the event to showcase Korea's competitive medical wellness tourism ecosystem, combining advanced medical technology, beauty and wellness content, and world-class tourism infrastructure.
The event welcomed approximately 180 attendees, including representatives from 12 Korean medical and wellness institutions, U.S. healthcare and tourism professionals, wholesale travel agencies, local travel companies, airline partners including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Air Premia, as well as cultural and tourism organizations such as the King Sejong Institute Center and Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles.
A key highlight of the event was the PSA (Pre-Scheduled Appointment)-based B2B business meetings, where 12 Korean medical and wellness institutions connected with U.S. partners through more than 150 one-on-one business meetings. Participants introduced their specialized services and explored opportunities for future collaboration and expansion in the U.S. medical and wellness tourism market.
The event also featured a variety of programs designed to showcase Korea's evolving medical and wellness tourism landscape. During the healthcare and wellness presentation sessions, participating institutions introduced their expertise and key services. The keynote session featured David Cho, CEO of CloudAA Academy, who presented "K-Glow Era: The Rise of Korean Aesthetic Medicine & Medical Tourism."
During his keynote, David Cho shared insights into why U.S. consumers are increasingly choosing Korea for advanced aesthetic treatments and discussed the growing opportunities in global medical and wellness tourism through the integration of healthcare and travel experiences.
In addition, attendees experienced the K-Medi Wellness Trail Experience, an interactive program highlighting Korea's unique approach to wellness and cultural experiences. The experience zone featured various activities, including AI-powered skin analysis and K-Beauty experiences, traditional Korean-inspired scent pouch making, VR-based Korean cultural experiences, and calligraphy activities, allowing participants to engage with Korea's wellness culture firsthand.
As global interest in health, beauty, and wellness continues to grow, Korea is emerging as a distinctive medical and wellness tourism destination by combining advanced healthcare technology, K-Beauty, wellness experiences, and tourism infrastructure.
The 2026 K-Medical Tourism B2B LA served as a meaningful platform for strengthening connections between Korean medical and wellness institutions and U.S. tourism and healthcare professionals, establishing a foundation for continued collaboration and sustainable partnerships between Korea and the United States.
