2026 National Proton Conference to Spotlight Practice-Changing Data, Expanding Access to Cancer Care

Leaders from New and Established Centers to Share Clinical Advances and Proven Operational Strategies to Broaden Patient Access

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association for Proton Therapy (NAPT), the nation's leading organization dedicated to increasing patient access to advanced cancer treatments, will convene the 2026 National Proton Conference (NPC) in Nashville on March 18-21. The annual conference follows recent new results from trials showing the survival benefits of proton therapy in treating several types of cancer.

The three-day conference will focus on emerging clinical research, patient quality of life, operational efficiencies, payer relations, increasing patient access, and other issues critical to expanding the nationwide use of this life-saving cancer treatment. 

In addition to a lineup of the top proton therapy experts and physicians in the country, Grammy-winning recording artist Amy Grant will accept an award on behalf of her late father, Dr. Burton Grant, a pioneer of radiation oncology in Tennessee. Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, a cancer survivor treated with proton therapy, will be on hand to deliver the conference's closing remarks.

More than 70 speakers from cancer centers across the country will share their insights. The final day of programming will include a special session of PTCOG-NA, a Dosimetry Workshop, and tour of the host center, Tennessee Oncology Proton Center. In addition, the NPC exhibition hall will feature industry partners and technology providers. Industry Expert Theaters will be presented by Mevion, IBA, and Apollo Healthcare Partners.
