2026 Rawlings Gold Glove Award® Winners Revealed

Rawlings Platinum Glove Award™ voting is now open through Nov. 5 on Rawlings.com

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc., announced the winners for the 2026 Rawlings Gold Glove Award^®, honoring the best individual fielding performances at each position in the American League^® and National League^®. The winners were unveiled during a one-hour, special-edition Baseball Tonight broadcast that aired on ESPN Sunday, Nov. 1, at 8:30 p.m. ET.

This year's Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners represent the best defenders in the game, including 11 previous recipients and nine first-time honorees. Christian Walker and Matt Olson each earned their fourth career Gold Gloves, the highest total among this year's winners, while the Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks led all teams with three winners each.

"Throughout a season filled with unforgettable defensive highlights, this year's Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners consistently separated themselves from the competition, combining elite skill, instincts, and reliability while making the most difficult plays appear effortless," said Mike Thompson, chief marketing officer for Rawlings. "We look forward to celebrating this year's honorees, from first-time winners to returning standouts, alongside legendary defensive icons, as they join this distinguished legion of athletes."

To determine the winners of the 18 defensive position awards, each team's manager and up to six coaches on his staff voted from a pool of qualified players in their league and could not vote for players from their own team. Additionally, Rawlings includes the SABR Defensive Index™ (SDI) as part of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award selection process, which influences approximately 25 percent of the overall selection total, with the managers' and coaches' votes continuing to carry the majority.

To identify the utility award winners, Rawlings collaborated with SABR to create a specialized defensive formula separate from the traditional selection process for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award position winners. Utilizing the SABR formula and additional defensive statistics, Rawlings selected one utility winner from each league.

"This year's Rawlings Gold Glove Award recipients represent the very best in defensive excellence, and SABR is proud to provide the statistical foundation that helps celebrate and validate their achievements," said Scott Bush, chief executive officer of SABR. "Through our long-standing and valued partnership with Rawlings, we look forward to continuing to celebrate and elevate one of baseball's most prestigious award platforms."
