2U Expands Google Cloud Learning Portfolio on edX with New AI and Cloud Programs

New courses on edX give learners and organizations direct access to official Google Cloud training in cloud computing and AI. 

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- 2U, a global leader in higher education, today announced the continued expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud, bringing 12 new cloud and AI courses to edX.org. The courses are part of Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) program and give edX's global learner community of more than 100 million people, along with enterprise customers, direct access to official Google Cloud training in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, generative AI, and other in-demand technologies.

2U collaborates with Google Cloud to offer more than 100 courses and professional certificate programs on edX, with new learning opportunities continuing to roll out across the platform. In just the past month, more than 30 additional Google courses have launched on edX. The 12 new courses announced today build on that momentum through the GEAR program, with learning tracks including Google Cloud Digital Leader, Google Workspace with Gemini, Google Cloud Generative AI Leader, and Google Associate Cloud Engineer. Designed for both technical and nontechnical learners, the self-paced programs combine hands-on learning with industry-recognized credentials that help professionals build practical cloud and AI skills.
