LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This is the 3rd consecutive year that 5 Gum® presents the ultimate music battle "Vive tu Musica with 5™", taking a new dimension with a little twist this time, expanding into a "Reality Show" full of music, cultures, dreams, adventures and challenges.
Vive tu Musica with 5™ Sensorial TV Show offers a chance to aspiring musicians to become the next Latin rock & pop stars, while they participate in musical challenges for a place in the Grand Finale concert in Los Angeles. Last March, several unsigned music bands auditioned in several cities of the country for the opportunity to be part of the Vive tu Musica with 5 Sensorial TV Show.
The 10 semifinalist bands are: Por que No (Nueva York), Cano 22 (Los Angeles), El Frente (Boston), La Gente Naranja (Miami), Katrin (Dallas), Castellano (Chicago), Teoria Quintuple (Nueva York), Alas Blancas (Houston), Odas (Miami), Los Despiertos (East Los Angeles), and after several weeks of online voting, these bands were selected to participate on the Vive tu Musica with 5™ reality TV Show, which visited 5 cities in the US where each episode was shot.
And now the 5 finalist bands will compete at the Vive tu Musica with 5™ Grand Finale concert in front of a panel of judges which include Cristian Castro, Belanova and A.B. Quintanilla, hosted by T.Lopez.
The winning band's prize will be a professional photo shoot, a gift certificate for new music equipment and the shoot of their own LATV special TV show, called "En Concierto". The winning band will be part of the Vive tu Musica with 5 trajectory, together with the first year winner "Vinyl Soul" (2009) and last year's winner "Local 34" (2010).
The Grand Finale will take place this Tuesday, August 9 at the L.A. Live, "Club Nokia", downtown, Los Angeles, CA opening Doors at 6:00pm, starting with the "Black carpet" walk at 7:00pm and closing with the exclusive performance of the popular Mexican band "Belanova" and DJ ALexx.
The episodic Vive tu Musica with 5™ Sensorial TV Show, airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT, on LATV Nationwide.
