5WPR Hires Communication Expert Melanie Gordon-Felsman

NEW YORK, Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- 5W Public Relations, a full service US PR agency dedicated to exceeding client expectations in a multitude of service areas announced today the appointment of former Cantor Fitzgerald VP of Communications Melanie Gordon-Felsman as their new Vice President.

Melanie Gordon-Felsman will serve as a Vice-President in charge of multi-faceted projects for the consumer, corporate and technology practices for 5WPR. In this role she will manage a diverse roster of clients focusing on branding, positioning, corporate development and generating impactful and mainstream press coverage.

Prior to joining 5WPR Melanie served as Vice-President of Marketing & Communications for Cantor Fitzgerald, the global financial conglomerate. Her vast responsibilities included internal and external communications, developing global media campaigns, brand awareness, event management and new business development. Melanie created and oversaw media for Cantor businesses, and their most senior officers.

Previously Melanie worked at Reuters, managing marketing and communications for their collaboration group.  Prior to this Melanie was a Senior Product Manager at Net2Phone, responsible for overseeing market strategy & tactical implementation. Melanie's years of experience also include impactful roles at Deloitte & Touche and 3Com Canada.

Melanie holds an honors BA from York University in Toronto, and a Public Relations Diploma from the University of Toronto. She is very active on several not-for-profit boards and lives on Manhattan's Upper West Side with her husband Michael and their twins Aaron and Daniella.
