The benchmark validates that 6WIND Turbo IPsec™ performance, measured with application traffic, can cost-effectively scale to enable all size IPsec Gateways. The benchmarks measured performance using Spirent test gear to generate HTTP traffic over IPsec with 6WIND Turbo IPsec running on HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen9 servers. Benchmarks were conducted in an NFV (Network Function Virtualization) configuration with 6WIND Turbo IPsec deployed as a VM leveraging 6WIND Virtual Accelerator™, which is hypervisor acceleration software. The server under test was comprised of four Intel® Xeon® E7-8890 v3 CPUs (2.5GHZ) with 18 cores each and eight Mellanox 40 gigabit Ethernet NICs.
