ISO 9001 is an International Quality Management System Standard that specifies requirements which an organization demonstrates its ability to consistently provide a product or service to meet customer requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and paving the way for continual improvement. Many manufacturing companies maintain ISO standards to ensure and demonstrate quality in their products and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Less than 5% of all staffing and recruiting services worldwide are ISO certified.
DAVIS decided to pursue ISO Certification when its manufacturing clients explained that their preference was to work with vendors that were ISO certified. These clients wanted to partner with companies that had the same level of commitment to their customers and internal processes, and DAVIS felt this was a natural step. The journey to ISO began for DAVIS in 1996, with the rigorous process of documenting and streamlining all of its business practices. It took a team of people over six months to create and document the company's internal processes and align them with the standards required by ISO.
