Former YouGov and Kantar product chief will lead ABCS's product strategy as advertising effectiveness enters a new era.
NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ABCS Insights, the independent advertising effectiveness company leading the Connected Outcomes Era, today named Marc Ryan chief product officer. As marketers work to understand the full funnel, from brand to sale, and how each stage drives the next, connecting those outcomes is becoming the new standard in measurement. Ryan will lead product strategy from pre-flight planning through post-campaign measurement, building on ABCS's ability to show not just whether advertising worked, but why, across every screen, retailer, and stage of the customer journey.
Ryan joins the leadership team ABCS introduced in July, backed by a $50M Series A led by Volition Capital. ABCS's mission is to make media more valuable. Its platform connects the customer journey from ad exposure to purchase, measuring each media channel's sales impact down to the store level so clients can plan campaigns, measure what they sold, and optimize what comes next.
Ryan brings more than three decades of experience building data and measurement products. A few highlights:
- Leadership roles at Kantar, Nielsen and YouGov, including chief product and technology officer and chief data officer at Kantar and chief product officer at YouGov
- Chief product officer at SCUBA Analytics, an enterprise decision-intelligence software company
- Co-CEO and chief research officer at InsightExpress, plus strategy and innovation roles at Nielsen
- Began his career at Millward Brown, and led the team that built the first online brand lift research protocol at Millward Brown Interactive
- Multiple patents in media and panel measurement
"I've known Marc for years, and I've watched him build measurement solutions the industry still relies on," said Jerome Shimizu, CEO and co-founder of ABCS Insights. "ABCS has the data, the team, and the momentum to lead the Connected Outcomes Era, and this stage of our growth calls for exactly what Marc brings: deep expertise, a builder's instinct, and a clear view of where measurement is going. There's no one I'd rather have at the helm of our product strategy."
"Outcome measurement has changed faster than almost anyone expected," said Ryan. "The way consumers discover and buy continues to evolve. As a result, full-funnel measurement has gone from a nice-to-have to a must-have strategic advantage. No one has developed the assets and expertise that ABCS has built to connect outcomes from brand to sale across every channel. I'm excited to work with this world-class team to build products that give everyone across the advertising ecosystem deeper insights into what works. That's the work that energizes me most, and it's what brought me to the ABCS team."
The executive team also includes CEO Jerome Shimizu, CTO Michael Sheng, CMO Deirdre McFarland, CRO Tom Acquaviva, and CCO Thalya Hamilton.
ABCS's services span campaign planning, sales lift measurement, and full-funnel brand and consideration studies across every media channel and vertical. They draw on a connected portfolio of datasets, including receipt, credit, debit, and bank data from approximately 40 million North American households, linked from brand awareness through sale.
