Absolute Software Announces Global Partnership with Samsung Electronics to Provide Enterprise Mobility Management and Theft Protection to GALAXY Mobile Devices

Patented Persistence Technology to be Embedded into Flagship Smartphones and Tablets to Deliver Global Enterprise Mobility Management and Theft Protection

VANCOUVER, April 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Absolute® Software Corporation (TSX: ABT), the industry standard for persistent endpoint security and management solutions for computers, laptops and ultra-portable devices announced today it has entered into a strategic global partnership with Samsung Electronics.

Under the terms of this partnership, Samsung will embed patented Absolute persistence technology into the firmware of Samsung GALAXY mobile devices as a feature of Samsung KNOX, which will be launched later this year.  Samsung KNOX is the comprehensive mobile solution for work and play with security enhanced Android platform and application container. With firmware persistence, Samsung users can leverage Absolute Computrace® or Computrace LoJack® for Laptops to remotely track, manage and secure their Samsung GALAXY smartphones and tablets devices globally.
