Accelera Solutions Names The Honorable Duane Andrews Chairman of the Board

Mr. Andrews is a recognized leader in the Government services industry.  He served as Chief Executive Officer of QinetiQ North America (QNA) from 2006 to 2013. Under his leadership, QNA acquired and integrated 15 companies and grew to over $1B in sales.  Prior to joining QNA, Mr. Andrews was Chief Operating Officer of SAIC, a leading scientific, engineering and technology company.  He joined SAIC in 1993 and during his 13-year career was a key architect in growing their Federal business from $1B to over $7B in revenue.

Mr. Andrews began his government career serving 10 years in the US Air Force, after which he joined the newly formed U.S. House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence serving 12 years as a professional staff member.  As Assistant Secretary of Defense, Command Control Communications and Intelligence and as Chief Information Officer from 1989 to 1993, he supervised the intelligence, security, command and control, telecommunications and information technology programs of the Department of Defense. In these critical roles, Mr. Andrews directed six DOD agencies, including four combat support agencies.

His industry recognition has included the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association's David Sarnoff Award, induction into the Post-Newsweek Information Resource Management Hall of Fame, as well as Executive Mosaic's Washington 100. His civilian government awards include the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of Accelera Solutions, Mr. Andrews currently serves as Chairman of Global Integrity, Inc. and Smiths Detection, Inc.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of Inmarsat Government and the Stimson Center.
