On June 9, 2014, athenahealth, Inc. (athenahealth) announced that Epocrates remains the top medical reference app in terms of reach on smartphones. The Manhattan Research's 2014 Taking the Pulse® U.S. study reports that Epocrates leads the digital health market for the fifth consecutive year, given its popularity among U.S. physician app users using the app as a digital resource for professional purposes.
