Glasgow received the award at the IAPP Privacy Dinner, held in conjunction with the IAPP Privacy Academy 2011.
Glasgow was selected for her leadership, deep knowledge and involvement in regulatory initiatives and continuous peer mentoring around privacy and data governance. Glasgow is known for her strategic thinking and ability to balance her company's and clients' needs with the broader needs in the field and the impact to global business.
"Jennifer Barrett Glasgow's tireless work and deep expertise have helped advance and influence global data protection in tangible ways," said IAPP Chairman Bojana Bellamy, director of data privacy at Accenture.
