Adams(R) Peanut Butter Launches Cause a Stir Essay Contest

Natural peanut butter brand encourages consumers to get creative about helping the environment

ORRVILLE, Ohio, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Adams® Peanut Butter today announced the launch of the Cause a Stir Essay Contest, a national contest encouraging consumers to share the creative ways they are helping to preserve the environment.

With a strong commitment to natural products, Adams Peanut Butter wants to hear how consumers are personally committed to preserving nature and thinking of unique and creative ways to help.  Entrants must write an original essay of 250 words or less describing what they are doing to support the environment.

From January 19 through March 16, 2010, contestants can visit to submit their story about helping the environment and see complete Official Rules.  Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years of age and older.  Void where prohibited.  One grand prize winner will receive a five-day, four-night trip with up to three guests to Yosemite National Park in California. The trip will include round-trip airfare, complimentary entrance passes to Yosemite National Park, hotel accommodations and a five-day car rental.

Four first prize winners will be selected to each receive a $100 REI® Gift Card for outdoor supplies. Randomly selected participants will win weekly prizes that include SIGG™ Water Bottles and sleeping bags. Additionally, the first 1,000 contestants to enter will receive a 55 cent coupon off one Adams Natural Peanut Butter product.
