Adoption Network Law Center Selects Family to Receive Pro Bono Services in Honor of National Adoption Month

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Nov. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Adoption Network Law Center, a California law corporation assisting hopeful Adopting Parents and Birth Mothers nationwide with their adoption plans, will be providing pro bono services to one family in honor of National Adoption Month.

Every November, Adoption Network Law Center asks hopeful Adopting Parents to share their stories of what led them to adoption.  Adoption Network Law Center reviews all submissions and selects one family to provide pro bono services to.  Today, National Adoption Day, Adoption Network Law Center is excited to announce that this year's recipients of pro bono services are Shawn and Anika from Georgia.     

Shawn and Anika were married in their early 40s and are both educators who have worked with children in church, tutoring, dance and youth clubs.  With their love for children they were utterly devastated when doctors told them that they would not be able to conceive.  To Shawn and Anika, a Birth Mother is like "a diamond, the strongest & most exquisite jewel…she turns peoples' dark days into the most beautiful and joyous days."  

This is the fourth year Adoption Network Law Center has provided pro bono services to one family in honor of National Adoption Month and all three prior families are currently at home with their babies.  "It is such an honor for Adoption Network Law Center to give back to the adoption community and raise adoption awareness in this way." stated Kristin A.F. November has been celebrated as National Adoption Month since 1995 to build awareness of adoption in the U.S., funded by the Children's Bureau.
