MEXICO CITY SHIFTED TO FEBRUARY FOLLOWING EARTHQUAKE

NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Advertising Week (AW), the world's largest annual gathering of advertising, creative, entertainment, marketing, media and technology industry leaders, today announced continued expansion into new territories and confirmed dates for Mexico City, Sydney and a location for Africa.

Following the tragic earthquake in Mexico City, the inaugural edition of Advertising Week Latin America will now take place February 12-15, 2018. "Our commitment to Mexico City is only stronger and we look forward to being part of the renewal effort in this great city," said Advertising Week co-founder and COO, Lance Pillersdorf. The Papalote Museo del Niño, located in Bosques de Chapultepec, will serve as the main daytime thought leadership venue and Tech X, launched at the recently concluded edition of Advertising Week in New York City, will be extended to Mexico City.

Dates for the first edition of Advertising Week APAC in Sydney, Australia have been confirmed for July 30-August 2, 2018. Director Clive Proesser and AWAPAC Advisory Council Chairman Nic Jones are in place and preparations are well underway.

And as announced in New York City at the 2017 Opening Gala at Radio City Music Hall, in partnership with Republicom, Advertising Week will expand to Cape Town, South Africa. "We are hell-bent on being first to Africa and look forward to shining the global spotlight on the African continent which remains the world's fastest growth market," said Advertising Week Global CEO, Matt Scheckner.

In addition, Advertising Week Europe returns to London for the 6th year the week of March 19 and organizers will also return to Tokyo for year three of Advertising Week Asia in May of 2018.
