MONUMENT, Colo., July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Advisors Asset Management (AAM) announced today that Derryk Madsen has joined the firm as Senior Vice President and Director of Strategic Partnerships. In his new role, Mr. Madsen will focus on maintaining and expanding partnerships with the firm's national accounts (wirehouses and independent broker-dealers) and registered investment advisors. He will be based in the firm's Lisle office in Illinois and report to Andrew S. Williams, President of AAM.

Mr. Madsen brings more than 16 years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining AAM, he served as director and head of strategic relationships at Salient Partners, where he led efforts to strategically grow exposure and platform placement for public and private products. He has also held strategic account management positions at Guggenheim Investments, Rococo Capital, LLC and Claymore Securities. Mr. Madsen received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University and is a Foundation Board Member of the College of DuPage. He is a CAIA candidate and holds the Series 7 and 24 FINRA licenses.
Mr. Madsen's addition follows the recent appointment of Scott Greenwood as Executive Director of Structured Products and Christopher Genovese as Director of RIA Services.
